Abstract

One of the biggest challenges facing managers today is understanding and accepting globalization. Globalization is the process of integrating societies and economics across national borders. Managers should be aware of the five main types of globalization. Managers must be willing to understand the customer in their own environment to produce products and services that are specific to that customer. A global manager must fill several roles. Mangers can learn from different management styles and incorporate ideas into their current thinking. Understanding many aspects of globalization by researching the work environment and cultural diversity helps make the manager effective.
